We are a well-established horticulture and viticulture contractor that is looking to expand its current team

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic supervisor (3 positions available) motivated and committed people to join our team in our business in the Waikato region and Bay of Plenty region.

You will be assisting with the operation of the business during your shift. We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours per week with a pay rate between $28.00 - $30p/h. You will be working as per roster hence flexibility is important in this role.

The duties and responsibilities of the Supervisor are as follows:

- Effectively manage allocate and supervise all work undertaken by junior staff.
Prepare and maintain and review work schedules for junior staff.
- Liaise with management over contracted work to organize completion time frame for jobs.
- Remain up to date on produce demands levels timeframes and provide this information to the Management and any other relevant staff.
- Assist management with the selection and hiring of new field workers.
- Ensure that all new staff are aware of health and safety requirements company policies and procedures.
- Keep all communications open and clear. Ensuring all issues are dealt with immediately to avoid unnecessary delays or complications with jobs. Ensure all communications put the business and its services in a good light.
- Provide feedback to management in regards whether the business has the correct level of equipment resources labour to complete contracted jobs within expected timeframes.
- Ensure that all staff make proper use of vehicles.
- Ensure that health and safety regulations are properly adhered to by all staff.
- Maintaining the grounds and all equipment to a high standard.
- Executing the daily/ weekly/ seasonal plan set out by the management.
- Ensuring allocation of human resources/equipment and other such business operating material is available to workers on demand.
- Liaise with growers and landowners to ensure work by the employees is been delivered at a high standard and to sort out any potential or current work-related issues.
- Report back to assistant /area manager on daily outputs of staff work and productivity results.
- Check with employees on any work-related issues that need to be resolved with any a work-related issue in general.

Skills and experience required:

- Need to be mature person committed to hard work and dedication to the job is all that is needed to excel
- Previous relevant experience is welcomed
- No qualification is required
