The Manager Archives NZ is responsible for ensuring that Archives holdings are accessible and discoverable through developing user focused descriptive tools and approaches incl;
Provision of greater access for Maori through improved Te Reo description practice and initiatives that support discovery of content and Taonga relevant to a Maori audience.
Lead Directorate representative on the Archives New Zealand Collections Governance Group, providing input into, and approval of, system changes including changes to metadata, data structures and the underlying data model
Management of Security Classified and Sensitive Records
Lead and manage the National Collection Valuation Process
