About New Zealand Blood and Organ Service
New Zealand Blood and Organ Service (NZBS) is primarily responsible for the collection, processing and distribution of blood in New Zealand.
In addition, the New Zealand Transplantation and Immunogenetics Laboratory (NZTIL), which is based on the NZBS Epsom site provides tissue typing tests for New Zealand's bone marrow and solid organ transplant programs and testing for various disease association markers. At the end of the day, you know that you've contributed in some way to making a difference in someone's life.

About the role
As a Medical Laboratory Technician within our New Zealand Transplantation and Immunogenetics Laboratory (NZTIL), you will be part of a unique team who perform an extensive range of histocompatibility testing, particularly for the bone marrow and solid organ transplant programs.
About you
To be successful in obtaining this role you will ideally have laboratory experience in HLA typing, immunology and/or molecular genetics.
So, if you are registered with the Medical Sciences Council of NZ or working towards your registration, have effective interpersonal and communication skills, are energetic and self-motivated, willing to take responsibility and have a flexible and positive approach, then this role could be for you.
