He angitūtanga | About the role
We are looking for an amazing Change Manager to join us with a knack for guiding organisations through transformation and the ability to manage change initiatives effectively; you will be reporting to the Director Change Management Office.
This is not your typical Change Manager role, this is an opportunity for you to engage & influence across a large and complex organisation and make a significant impact; you will have a people-centric approach to ensure that change management practice is a positive experience for DOC people, where the emphasis is placed on empowerment and an engaging working environment.
Your focus will be on our ‘Better for Nature' programme which brings together all our key change and improvement work into a single, coordinated and sequenced programme. It is all about making our work easier and better for us, and better for nature. There is a pipeline of other work that will need your change expertise and a supportive change practitioner group to enable peer to peer sharing
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement change management strategies and plans.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address change impacts.
- Lead communication efforts to ensure transparency and engagement.
- Monitor and report on the progress of change initiatives.
- Provide support and training to employees throughout the change process.
- Evaluate and refine change management processes for continuous improvement.
Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience
It is essential that you have proven change management experience in a large-scale, complex setting. It goes without saying that this is a people centric role; it interacts with a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels, so it is important you're able to build and manage relationships.
You will also bring the following skills and experience;
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
- A relevant change management qualification such as Prosci or equivalent.
- Excellent internal and external communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strategic mindset to envision the long-term impact of change initiatives and outcomes including supporting the realisation of commercial outcomes resulting from change
- Proficiency in change management tools, methodologies and best practices.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities in complexity and ambiguity.
- Excellent technical skills.
- Deep understanding of human elements involved in the change process, along with empathy for the needs and concerns of professionals and communities.
Mō te tīma | About the team
The Change Management Office (CMO) sits within the Organisation Support Group, the aim of this small but mighty team is to improve DOC's change capability and to shift the dial from people feeling like change ‘happens' to them to a future where people feel they're helping to lead change. The CMO is the steward of DOCs change methodology, tools and materials utilised to deliver effective change management approaches across all change activity. It also has accountability to the investment governance groups for ensuring good change outcomes.
Ngā āhuatanga kei a mātou | What's in it for you?
