There’s a history of goodness at Talley’s. They stand by the impeccable quality of their products and their growing team of skilled workers as they bring healthy, delicious food to dinner tables near and far. Their Blenheim site is a large multi-faceted state of the art plant transitioning to be a dedicated Shellfish processing site. They now have an opportunity for a Site Operations Manager to join their team and help drive operational excellence in the production functions.
Reporting to the Site Manager this key leadership role takes responsibility for the sites operational activities including production, logistics and maintenance. Leading and directing a large team your key accountabilities will be driving operational efficiencies, maximising production, ensuring quality and maintaining compliance and health & safety. This is a diverse, exciting role in an environment that is real, pragmatic and focused.
To be successful, you’ll have proven experience in a dynamic processing environment, proven leadership ability, a good understanding of engineering maintenance and an understanding of compliance requirements. Ideally you will have operated in a lean manufacturing site and will bring with you a strong focus on continuous improvement.
With the ability to relate well to a diverse group of people and strong relationship building skills, you will be organised and systematic in your approach, demonstrate tenacity and drive, and be able to take a pragmatic approach in a commercial environment.
