The company has extensive landholdings comprising both operational and non-operational areas, including two significant sites managed under environmental covenants. We are committed to evolving our operation to best practice land management with an overall objective to restore environmental diversity.

Based in Picton, the Gardener / Horticulturalist is a crucial member of the Port Marlborough Workshop Team who together provide land management, caretaker, mechanical, and carpentry services to internal customers. Working within the Caretaker group, the Gardener / Horticulturalist will take responsibility for proactively and efficiently undertaking gardening and horticulture operational duties.

With a practical and hands on approach you’ll enjoy “getting on the tools’ and your versatile and adaptable approach to work will mean that you are happy to pitch in and support the wider team in a range projects. Ideally you will have a horticultural qualification, or you may have built your skills through experience and be keen to work for an organisation committed to supporting your career development.
