Auckland City, New Zealand Te Whatu Ora Full time

Based in the Northern Region
- Permanent, full time

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is the country's largest employer, delivering universal public healthcare to 5 million New Zealanders.
We provide essential hospital, specialist, and community health services across 80+ locations - from large urban centres to rural towns and remote communities.

Our goal is to improve health outcomes for all New Zealanders by delivering equitable, accessible and innovative care.

**About the Role**

The primary purpose of this role is to support the development of regional communication strategies that contribute to better health outcomes for all New Zealanders. You'll play a key role in shaping how information is shared and understood across the region, ensuring communication is clear, consistent, and aligned with organisational goals.

You'll lead the implementation of these strategies, managing regional communication channels, events, and initiatives to keep stakeholders informed and engaged. In addition, you'll proactively identify and respond to communication risks as they arise and seek out new and effective ways to strengthen and enhance regional communication.

**About you**

You'll bring around five years of experience in a communications role, where you've contributed to the development of communication strategies and led their successful implementation. You're confident working in complex, fast-paced, and sometimes ambiguous environments, maintaining clarity and focus under pressure.

You excel at building strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels and take the time to understand their operational context and needs. With strong written and verbal communication skills, you're able to convey messages clearly, persuasively, and with impact.
