Wellington City, New Zealand New Zealand Government Full time

The Parliamentary Counsel Office (PCO) plays a critical role in developing and publishing New Zealand's legislation. Our vision of Great Law for New Zealand underpins everything we do. We work across government agencies to deliver legislation that is fit for purpose, constitutionally sound, and accessible.
The work we do is challenging, diverse, and integral to the lives of New Zealanders. There's no other place like it.
The team
The People, Services and Delivery group supports the organisation with services including; HR, Finance, Procurement, Information Management, Operations, and Risk & Assurance. We are collaborative, aspirational, and connected by our firm focus on supporting people to shape the future of New Zealand's law. We work to build strong and resilient relationships across the business to achieve strong engagement and effective partnerships.
We're building a group of talented, committed professionals who consistently deliver high-quality outcomes for the business.
The role
We're modernising our approach to Information Management, from strategy to policies & processes, to the core system. We're after someone who's passionate about both IM and the experience of end users.
A key focus will be actively engaging with a wide range of internal stakeholders to build trusted and mutually supportive relationships. You will lead a small team, which means you will need to be comfortable both leading and delivering. Whilst acting as the champion for all things IM, you will also be our PRA champion.
- an inspiring, positive attitude with a desire to proactively share your passion of IM with our team and build lasting relationships,
- a high-level perspective of IM whilst being unafraid to roll your sleeves up when necessary,
- experience in modern information systems and practices leveraging M365 and SharePoint.
- internal communication and intranet management skills, and
- a keen eye for process and system diligence.

If you like a challenge, are ready to add your expertise to a critical Government organisation, are passionate about electronic and physical information and perhaps looking to step up to the Knowledge Leader role, then we would like to hear from you.
Our culture
Located across the road from Parliament, PCO offers you a fascinating insight into Aotearoa's legislation.
Our workplace encourages ambition and high performance - where diversity of ideas is welcomed, and where you can be rewarded with the satisfaction of delivering. Our small size allows you to be exposed to broad opportunities and grow your skills along the way.
We offer a range of resources to support your wellbeing such as 5 weeks annual leave, access to fitness opportunities, discounted health insurance and eye tests. We also believe in the growth of our people, encouraging personal and professional development opportunities, including te reo classes.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional and highly respected organisation.
