We look forward to you bringing your valuable skills, experience and knowledge to join our team aboard the forever moving waka, Te Taurapa Tūhono | New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE). This is the call, to rise to the occasion, and help guide New Zealand export businesses to exciting new horizons._

**Please note - this is a permanent vacancy, where the successful applicant can be based in either our Auckland or Wellington offices**

**Who we are - Ko Te Taurapa Tūhono tēnei**
- Te Taurapa Tūhono | New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) is the government agency charged with helping New Zealand businesses to grow internationally. By supporting New Zealand businesses, we boost New Zealand's economy and reputation, and help to share what's special about New Zealand with the rest of the world.

**What you'll be doing - Te whakamahere**
- Over the past year, NZTE has been on the journey creating and embedding a new critical data strategy that will allow the success of our organisational objectives. We are now in the next phrase of our journey and are looking for a Knowledge & Information Specialist to join us, where you'll design, lead, and undertake our knowledge management work programme to instil best practise behaviours.

Reporting to the Data Governance Manager, the purpose of the Knowledge & Information Specialist is to also help drive NZTE to execute information management activities to gather, store, and increase the accessibility of information within NZTE. This would entail but not limited to:

- Serving as a Subject Matter Expert by providing advice regarding knowledge and information management across all stages of their lifecycles
- Designing and installing techniques and processes to acquire, protect, and use known knowledge
- Designing and creating environments and activities to discover and release knowledge
- Using the data and information gathered (both quantitative and qualitative) to understand how well knowledge behaviours/processes are embedded in NZTE
- Providing thought guidance and expertise on current trends in knowledge and information management

**What you'll need to be successful | Ō Pūkenga**
- You'll be passionate about knowledge and information management and have a natural enthusiasm for systemising and codifying knowledge. You'll bring experience of working with business stakeholders of all levels of an organisation to translate business/user requirements into technical solutions, including creating easy-to-read materials that can be understood by both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Having experience with developing and embedding change management strategies for knowledge and information management capabilities within an organisation is advantageous.

From a technical side, you'll have experience in the use of knowledge management systems and information/document management systems (e.g. SharePoint), be familiar with the Microsoft 356/Power Platform suite and have experience across both Confluence (Wiki) and content management systems (administration experience of all such platforms is desirable)

You'll be insightful, proactive, have a curious mindset and bring strong advising qualities to ensure that we are adhering to knowledge and information management best practices. You'll have a knack of building strong relationships with stakeholders and have the ability of adapting your communication style to your audience to instinctively deliver information and knowledge in a visually interesting way that tells a clear story. You'll also have a knack for taking others on the journey to understand best practices and you'll also work with other internal experts and stakeholders to develop durable technical solutions.

**Why you'll love working here - Nau mai ki Te Taurapa Tūhono**
- NZTE is a truly global organisation, giving you a wonderful experience of working with different cultures as part of our everyday. Working as part of our One Global Team (OGT), we will give you the right technology to allow you to work anywhere and balance your time - flexible working is our standard practice.
