We are recruiting for a Manager, Community Place - Glen Innes Library to lead a talented team and build relationships within a library-loving community With a proven track record in staff leadership, we are seeking a people person who can foster strong relationships with key stakeholders. You will also create effective community practice, addressing the needs and priorities of the Maungakiekie - Tāmaki Local Board and local communities and provide a safe, welcoming environment for customers and staff.

Key responsibilities include:

- day-to-day operational management of the library including responsibility for financial and staffing allocations
- facilitating and growing community and partner-led activity which meets the needs of the community
- supporting the collaborative management of recruitment and induction of staff for the local board team, as well as the development and coaching of existing staff
- lead and develop staff to deliver excellence in visitor experiences.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity requiring flexibility to work across the Maungakiekie - Tāmaki local board area as required. The library is currently open from Monday to Saturday. Some late nights may be required to support the service and programmes and events.
