**About the opportunity | Te whai waahi**
We have two Regional Health and Safety Manager opportunities available, both based in the Waikato region looking after our Central North Island and Upper North Island regions. These roles support our most fundamental manufacturing and supply chain operations and are therefore integral to our leadership team, contributing to the strategic direction of health and safety within one of New Zealand’s most iconic organisations.
In these pivotal positions, you will shape and implement health and safety initiatives across diverse operations while driving a culture of care, curiosity, and continuous learning. You will be at the forefront of modern health and safety practices, fostering a proactive, “line-led, H&S-partnered” environment.
- Developing capability to build expertise within a business partnering community, and drive competency for operational leaders.
- Undertake regular assurance and oversight activity to focus on the presence of effective controls and key systems.
- Build understanding through learning from incidents and successful work.
- Support the deployment of health and safety initiatives across sites.
- Work closely with the business to deliver health and safety objectives.
**About you | Moe koe**
Along with your leadership experience, you will have in-depth experience in a senior health and safety management role, preferably in a complex and high-risk organisation.
You will be a strong communicator with proven experience in engaging and coaching leaders and promoting modern-day health and safety practices such as Safety II and HOP. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, and qualifications in health and safety are also preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior health and safety management role, preferably in a complex high-risk organisation.
- Proven experience in engaging leaders and promoting modern-day health and safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
