Providing clinical leadership, mentorship, and operational oversight, you’ll ensure each trainee and practice placement is well matched, well supported, and set up for success. You will be the key bridge between trainees, employers, the academic providers, and the consortium—providing clinical support, expertise, leadership, and problem‑solving. This includes overseeing trainee progress to ensure they meet the required standard of clinical practice to become an NP, providing access to supervision and mentoring, and ensuring quality clinical standards are maintained throughout. This support and mentoring will continue for the newly qualified NP for 6 months upon registration to help embed the role successfully into the area of practice. Working closely with the team, you’ll help ensure the programme remains culturally safe, equitable, and impactful for all participants. This is an opportunity to shape the future of advanced nursing practice while championing equitable health outcomes for Māori, Pacific, and priority populations across Aotearoa. Current Nurse Practitioner registration with at least 5 years’ experience in primary, community, mental health or relevant secondary care setting. Proven clinical leadership and mentoring experience within complex or multi‑stakeholder environments. Strong relationship management and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across sectors. Sound understanding of health inequities and commitment to advancing equitable outcomes for Māori and Pacific Peoples. Exceptional organisational and critical appraisal skills with a proactive, solution‑focused approach. Deep understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its practical application within healthcare. Resilient, adaptive, and passionate about supporting the development of the Nurse Practitioner workforce. Competent with MS Office and digital collaboration tools.
