Deputy Director Operations Gambling

Working at the Department of Internal Affairs, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of New Zealanders.
As part of the Gambling Group you will have the opportunity to contribute to supporting the safety, wellbeing and success of New Zealand communities, and provide advice and support to our Ministers in Government.
This role is for a people and operations leader, who has experience in engaging with a sector as the regulator. You will have a proven ability to manage people, a high degree of expertise in operations, an ability to think strategically and develop and use a variety of regulatory tools.
With staff in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch this role is responsible for front line delivery with a focus on a responsive risk based operating model, delivering an effective and efficient gambling licensing function, raising regulatory practice and performance, and ensuring the Gambling Directorate delivers its regulatory obligations on the ground, across all New Zealand.
