The Director of the Pacific Justice Sector Programme is seeking a collaborative, Pasifika focused leader with senior experience to play a key role helping to lead the next phase of an exciting and innovative Pacific-led programme.
The Pacific Justice Sector Programme (PJSP) is a multi-jurisdictional initiative guided by the Pacific Chief Justices' 15-member Leadership Forum, which includes Aotearoa New Zealand's Chief Justice Winkelmann in her capacity as Chief Justice of Tokelau. The PJSP aims to promote a stable, prosperous and resilient Pacific through support for the development of accessible, fair, responsive and efficient justice systems.
The programme encompasses a wide range of services and activities spanning mentoring, professional development and technical training, through to enhancing human rights and gender and family violence responsiveness.
An important objective of the programmes is to support relationships between mainstream and Pasifika justice systems in ways which increase access to fair and high-quality justice for vulnerable people.
As Deputy Director you would need to bring real world experience in building effective relationships, and practical collaborations, ideally in a context that has required a genuinely inclusive Pasifika approach.
