**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

The IWRR function manages the national employment relations environment for Te Whatu Ora, including the national employment relations strategy, bargaining of multiple collective agreements, interpretation of collective agreements and related policy.

The primary purpose of this role is to:

- design and implement comprehensive reward and recognition strategies and programmes that attract, motivate, and retain talented employees across Te Whatu Ora. This role aims to ensure equitable and competitive remuneration practices, foster a culture of recognition and appreciation, and drive employee engagement and performance.
- lead and provide professional leadership of the Recognition and Reward Team.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- Senior leadership level experience with responsibility for managing people, budgets, forecasting, and cost management, organisational risk, and compliance at either a function or business unit level.
- Experience in effective design and implementation of remuneration and recognition strategies in medium to large organisations
- Experience working with national unions to successfully deliver fit-for-purpose outcomes.
- Public and private sector experience developing designing and implementing remuneration, recognition and reward strategies and systems.
