Senior Business Intelligence and Data Engineer

**About the role**
As we strive to maintain the current velocity and uphold the high-quality standards set by our current Business Intelligence and Data Engineer. We are seeking an exceptional professional for a 12-month parental leave cover.
This pivotal position will ensure our continued success and progress, allowing us to keep delivering exceptional business intelligence and data management solutions without interruption. Join us in this critical period to support our dynamic team and contribute to our ongoing projects with your expertise and dedication
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Delivery of business intelligence and data management as critical corporate information resources
- Acting as consultant for data users and providing analytical guidance on using data to provide business insight
- Relationship management with key stakeholders that supports informed decision-making and creates value for the organisation.
**About you**
We are seeking a proactive business intelligence specialist who thrives on challenge, is committed to understanding our Council's requirements and will deliver effective solutions.
As an innovative and customer-focused technical expert, you will build strong relationships across the business to bring your key stakeholders on a business intelligence learning journey. You will deliver useful, accurate and informative data modelling and analysis to support effective decision-making.
**Ideally you will have**:
- 5+ years' experience implementing Microsoft SQL Server integration, analytics and reporting capability working with users in an analysis role
- Extensive use of RDBMS systems
- Extensive experience with data warehouse implementations
- Business acumen in utilizing business intelligence to inform and drive business effectiveness, value and growth
