If you do not have access to do the self-assessment test on-line you can contact the MCNZ by telephone: +64 4 384 7635. **About the Team/Service** Our team provides General Medicine and Rehabilitation care including: - acute stroke and heart attack - acute infections - high acuity care such as DKA infusions or non-invasive ventilation - palliative care (including one SMO being a Palliative Medicine Specialist) - Rehabilitation - Bedside procedures — LP, pleural procedures, paracentesis, access to POCUS We operate as three ward teams with consultant and 1-2 RMOs. SHOs have the chance to work, closely with their consultant each week. We have strong educational focus with weekly hospital meetings, and weekly in-service RMO teaching (peer-to-peer, or SMO led). Accredited with RACP and RNZCGP-DRHM **About the Location** Thames Hospital is a modern 50-bed secondary care facility offering a comprehensive range of services, including an emergency department, inpatient care, day surgery, an infusion unit, rehabilitation services, birthing unit and low-acuity mental health care. Our hospital boasts 24-hour laboratory and radiology services, including advanced CT imaging. As an accredited training hub, we support 5th and 6th-year medical students from Auckland University, PGY2 House Officers, and registrars in Rural Hospital Medicine and General and Acute Care Medicine. We offer a robust quality improvement program, CME opportunities, and an RMO teaching program. Telehealth is expanding at Thames, supporting inpatient care, outpatient clinics, and emergency services like stroke thrombolysis.
