**Responsibilities**:

- Manage and lead a global software test team, ensuring effective collaboration, communication, and coordination across different time zones and locations.
- Ensure that all software releases meet quality and performance standards, adhering to best practices and compliance requirements in the financial services and banking industry.
- Collaborate with development teams to identify, prioritize, and resolve software defects and issues, ensuring timely and efficient software releases.
- Maintain a deep understanding of relevant test tools and methodologies, continuously evaluating and implementing new technologies and approaches to optimize the testing process.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Monitor and report on test progress, performance, and results, providing regular updates to management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, development, and customer support, to ensure alignment and coordination throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Develop and thoroughly understand the company's products, services, and customer requirements, ensuring that software releases meet customer expectations and business objectives.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the test team, encouraging innovation, collaboration, and a commitment to quality.
- Manage and mentor team members, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for professional development.

**Requirements**:

- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing international software test teams (which is an advantage), with a strong background in software development, testing methodologies, and tools.
- Management of a global team of testers in various time-zones around the world, requiring calls and meetings outside of normal NZ hours.
- Experience in the financial services and banking industry, understanding industry-specific compliance and security requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and cultures.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, committed to delivering high-quality software releases.
- Experience with relevant test tools and technologies like Selenium, JMeter, GitLab, Cucumber, and JIRA.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and best practices.
