**Your team**:
The Assistant Category Manager supports the Category Manager to deliver a product category portfolio, maximising targeted customer appeal, and supporting Macpac’s strategic sales, profit and inventory aims.
The Assistant Category Manager supports the Buyer to ensure all aspects of the buying cycle and marketing/promotional activity are managed and deadlines met. Confidently executing your day to day tasks, these will include:
- Analyse and plan range change implementation and impacts
- Support Buyers to optimise range spread and price.
- Support the team in sales and inventory budget activities
- Work collaboratively across teams to ensure inventory is managed within KPI’s and in line with agreed strategies
- Report on product trends and performance
- Supports the design team in adhering to the critical path through each phase of the product development process
**About you**:
- Previous experience in an Apparel buying role is advantageous
- Customer centric - articulates and understands the customer
- Good commercial acumen
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- High attention to detail
- A team player who enjoys working in a positive team environment
- A love for the outdoors
