**About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga**

We’re looking for a Product Owner to lead the delivery of high-quality, user-focused digital services. You’ll define product features, shape the vision, and ensure delivery aligns with business goals. Working closely with stakeholders and technical teams, you’ll manage priorities, track progress, and drive continuous improvement to deliver real value.

**About you | Mōhou ake**

You’re an experienced Product Owner with a strong background in agile delivery within digital environments. You bring a solid understanding of technology and digital systems, and you’re comfortable working closely with technical teams to shape solutions that are both innovative and practical.

You’re a confident leader who builds trust, encourages collaboration, and helps teams grow. You understand the challenges of delivering digital solutions in complex organisations and know how to guide teams through them. You’re passionate about agile values, continuous improvement, and making a real difference through technology. You will also have The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.

**About our group and team | Mātau rōpū ake**

At Te Tāhuhu o te Mātauranga | Ministry of Education, you’ll be part of a purpose-driven Digital team working to improve outcomes for ākonga across Aotearoa.

Matihiko | Digital holds the strategic lead on technology matters across the Ministry. This includes oversight of digital services in the Ministry, leading the cross-agency strategy ‘Connected Ako: Digital and Data for Learning’, enabling education system wide planning and investment in digital services, and ensuring the Ministry’s alignment with broader best-practice government digital and data direction and guidance.
