The opportunity:
As Product Owner, you are responsible for identifying customer needs, prioritising features, and promoting the product vision and roadmap of the assigned projects/features/workstreams.

The Product Owner is ultimately accountable for the product that is released to the market and will work closely with key stakeholders throughout the organisation and beyond to ensure successful implementation of the project.

Key responsibilities include:
Delivery accountabilities
- Foster exceptional relationships with Business Owners and Stakeholders, supporting them with defining and communicating the vision for your assignments.
- Represents the customer (internal/external), interfacing and engaging directly with customers where feasible.
- Supports a strong project team culture focused on delivering the business objectives, defining clear customer value and benefits associated with the overall assignment including at PI and/or sprint levels
- Backlog management:_
- Create, prioritise, and maintain the product backlog according to business value working in partnership with Business Owners to distil down to delivery teams product backlogs, and escalating conflicts back up to the Business Owner as appropriate.
- Ensure an holistic AIA-wide perspective is maintained with prioritisation - including cost, risk, operations, distribution, and technology.
- Participate in daily stand-ups for assigned delivery teams and/or scrum of scrums as appropriate.
- Responsible for acceptance of sprint deliverables, in consultation with the accountable Sponsors and Business Owners acceptable criteria.
- Support a coordinated and clear view of overall delivery capacity view by having clear resource forecasts
- Actively promote and support capability uplift in agile ways of working, and practices and ensure these are appropriately owned, well-orchestrated, and visible.
- Support delivery leaders and stakeholders with timely, factual, objective information about the product health, progress, risk, issues, and financial status.
- Leverage agile techniques to ensure assignments:_
- Have a forward planning stakeholder rhythm, supported by demonstrating effective stakeholder management and prioritization techniques to ensure a strong pipeline of ready work for delivery teams
- Customer centric, including continually referencing back to relevant customer journey mappings.
- Prioritising backlogs based on value
- Align with change strategies and plans in place to ensure business and customer readiness.
- Support stakeholders with understanding delivered risk impacts and ensure the identified new /change risk controls are delivered within scope prior to go-live.

Stakeholder Management
- Work with key stakeholders around the whole lifecycle of change
- Maintain a balanced product perspective by building relationships and interacting with relevant external stakeholders.
- Maintain a high level of communication to all interested parties on vision, progress, scope, roadblocks and the release of features and enhancements.
- Be the key point of contact for all business related questions, challenges and decisions.
- Involve other teams across the value chain and in shared service (e.g. Finance, Legal, Customer, Distribution, Marketing Product) as required to ensure an enterprise view of requirements, acceptance criteria, and impacts
- Work with delivery leads to ensure adherence and transparency to project governance commitments
- Escalate any relevant assignment risks, issues, or other matters as appropriate to the sponsor, steering committee or other key stakeholders

Risk
