**The Company**

My client is a UK owned company with operations in NZ. The service is offering is unique and has an international flavour. The finance team is a small close knit team of 4, that ultimately reports up to Singapore. This role is replacing someone who has been with the business for the last 15 years. The company offers 2-3 days WFH and is based centrally in Ellerslie where parking is available on the days you come in.

**The Role**

The role of Assistant Accountant will report to the Finance Manager and be one of two Assistant Accountants who own the P&L reporting for their area right through to review with the Finance Manager. You will be responsible for:

- Ensuring the correct revenue recognition is calculated based on working through contractual obligations
- Completing GST returns
- Preparing the monthly financial statements for 2-3 entities within the business
- Preparing prepayments and accruals
- Working with foreign currency and ensuring the correct accounting treatment
- Account reconciliations
- Assisting in the budgeting process
- Liaising with head office re intercompany charges
- Assisting with half year reporting and the external audit
- Other ad hoc duties as required.

**Your Profile**

To be considered for this role, we are looking for an individual who can take full ownership of the preparation of the month end accounts to review stage. You will be someone that is practical & logical in your problem solving and has the ability to work through the detail analysing the results. You will need to have intermediate excel skills and have strong attention to detail.
