**Mo te tunga | About the role**

The Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) is the centre of excellence for the management and delivery of initiatives and leads the Department's Investment Management Framework.

As the Principal Adviser within the Investment & Benefits team you will ensure the Department's investments reflect value for money and are based on robust information for decision making. You will do this by asking key questions, testing investment risks and assumptions and providing critical feedback on all significant business cases. Taking a leading role, you will help ensure that investments achieve their intended benefits and that decision-makers have clear, well-informed insights. You will prepare comprehensive reports and dashboards to track investment success and inform the future pipeline of work.

To be successful in this role you ideally will have:

- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of investment management and governance frameworks, including Treasury's investment framework, Better Business Cases.
- Strong experience in benefit realisation including identification, monitoring and measurement.
- Proven ability to analyse complex information and present key conclusions that withstand challenge. Can demonstrate clarity of thinking and problem definition.
- Extensive experience working in an investment related field. Experience working in a PMO or EPMO is desired.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, and training others, along with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

**Utu a-tau | Salary**

The mid point of the salary range is $147,765 and the full range (85%-120%) is $125,601 - $177,318 per annum. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
