Business Support Manager, Public Service Fale

The Public Service Fale is looking for an experienced Business Support Manager to join the Public Service Fale team. The Fale, which sits within Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission, is a regional centre of excellence that operates to support 16 Public Service Commissioners in the Pacific (PPSC's) to achieve their goals to strengthen public services for their citizens. The Public Service Fale work programme is overseen by a Governance Board of PPSCs from seven Pacific nations. We are Pacific-led in that our priorities are set by the PPSC's, and we work closely with our strategic partner, the NZ Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade.

You will be part of a team within the Public Service Fale developing trusted and enduring partnerships and be responsible for timely and transparent reporting against agreed outputs and outcomes to the Deputy Commissioner - head of the Public Service Fale.
In this role, your primary assignment is to provide executive and business support to the Deputy Commissioner - head of the Public Service Fale, as well as the Fale Management Team. We are looking for someone who can:
- Provide all executive and administration support to the Deputy Commissioner.
- Provide financial and business management information, advice and analysis to support Public Service Fale management decision making and resource allocation.
- Co-ordinate all business planning, financial management and reporting processes for the Fale.
- Manage procurement of services and related contracts for delivery of the Fale's work programme.
- Co-ordinate all visit, travel and in country support administration for delivery of the Fale's work programme.
- Identify and drive improvements to the Fale's operating model including maintaining oversight of risk management tools.
- Ensure alignment with Te Kawa Mataaho | Public Service Management business services, policies, and protocols.
**To be successful in this role we are looking for someone who**:
- is able to build and maintain networks within Te Kawa Mataaho, across the Pacific and the NZ Public Service;
- has excellent relationship management and communication skills;
- has executive and business support experience;
- has an interest and willingness to serve the peoples of the Pacific.
This position is expected to pay between $99,200 - $120,000 depending on skills and experience.
