This role will provide coordination of the education programme across the Central Region but will be based at Wellington Regional Hospital. They will be the leader and glue to coordinate and support the educators to develop skills and knowledge frameworks for the Allied Professions roles that will work in ICU/HDU or provide care for patients when transferred back to their home District. These will at least initially, be fixed term roles for 1 year.

**Mō tō mātou rōpū - About our team**

This is a new team that will be both part of allied professions clinically, but also liaise closely with both the nursing educator roles and the regional profession specific staff working in critical care. The coordinator role will be intrinsic to establishing the culture and work ethic of the team, and the networking and partnering with the nursing educator roles and team leaders for each profession. The AP educator team will work across the Central region, they may be based at any of the 6 hospital sites, but expected to work across all clinicians within those professions working in critical care, and alongside the other allied professions, nurses and medical teams working in this service within the Central regions hospitals.

**Moū - About you**

You will be a highly skilled clinician holding an Allied professions Annual practicing certificate, with a minimum of 5 years' experience with knowledge of working in critical care. You will be someone who values evidence based practice and also leadership by example. You will be cognizant of the importance of equity for patients, whanau and for your team. You will not hold a specific clinical caseload, but may work alongside other allied profession clinicians/educators from a clinical coaching/mentoring perspective. You will have proven coordination and quality improvement skills and outstanding communication with a solid understanding of clinical education.
