**Research Nurse - Critical Care Complex**
**Part Time (0.8 FTE) Fixed Term Role - 12 Month Opportunity**

We are looking for an experienced nurse to take on the role of a Research Nurse in our Critical Care Complex team. The Research Nurse will work with a specified patient/client group, providing assessment, nursing care, clinical interventions, and education in a specific area of specialty practice. This role may include, but is not limited to:
- Delivery of specific clinical interventions or procedures.
- Provision of nursing care according to clinical/care pathways, protocols, or guidelines.
- Participation in clinical trials/research projects.
As a Senior Nurse, you will also have a key responsibility for improving the quality of professional nursing practice and safeguarding high standards of care at Health NZ Counties Manukau. You will support an environment where excellence in clinical care can thrive.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Facilitate and administer clinical trials within the service, ensuring protection of patients and accurate, reproducible data.
- Support the coordination of multiple clinical studies and patient recruitment.
- Role model excellence in research practice, demonstrating integrity and rigor in your work.
- Maintain professional development to grow in the research role.
- Encourage and support other Critical Care Complex staff in undertaking local research projects.
- Develop and maintain relationships with research sponsors.
- Assist in the development of new research projects, including ethics submissions, regulatory documentation, education, enrolment, and follow-up.
- Contribute to quality improvement, risk management, and optimal resource utilization.
- Organize multidisciplinary research meetings and disseminate findings both locally and nationally.
**Key Requirements**
- NZ Registered Nurse with a current APC
- 3+ years clinical experience (post registration) in NZ
- Proven experience in clinical nursing and research practice.
- Ability to manage multiple clinical trials concurrently.
- Strong leadership, communication, and educational skills.
