Health New Zealand Counties Manukau is a dynamic and progressive organisation at the forefront of innovative health care delivery within the New Zealand Public Health Sector.
We are looking for a **Charge Nurse Manager** who will be able to provide nurse leadership within our Critical Care team based at Middlemore Hospital. Our Critical Care team are pro-active and take pride in delivering excellent service and quality patient care.
The Charge Nurse Manager ensures effective day-to-day coordination and management, working collaboratively with the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Heads of Department, Service Manager and Clinical Nurse Director.
**This position is responsible for**:
- Promoting excellence in clinical practice and ensuring the provision of high-quality nursing care for patients and their whaanau in line with the vision and values of Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau.
- Facilitating the provision of family / whaanau-focused care.
- The provision of excellence in financial, administrative, and operational management at the service operational level.
- Leading the implementation and monitoring of strategic and operational plans.

**Essential**:
- New Zealand Registered Nurse
- Current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Minimum 5 years post registration experience in NZ, Critical Care/ICU nursing experience preferred
- Proven leadership and/or management experience
- Post Graduate Diploma in progress (with a commitment to ongoing education)
