We are looking for a** Presales Consultant**to join the Hardware team at Dicker Data. As a Presales Consultant, you will be the primary point of contact for new reseller requests and queries, which could range from new opportunity sizing and special pricing to providing product recommendations.

**What you will do in this role**:

- Maintain and continually update knowledge of new technology, products, best practices, trends, etc. by consulting technical literature, attending Vendor events and conferences, share this knowledge with the team for improved technical expertise and performance.
- Leverage vendor and presales resources to provide technical support, product suggestions, proposals, and tender responses for successful product launches and sales efforts.
- Promote products and solutions to the reseller channel and internal departments through demonstrations, presentations, meetings, and seminars, showcasing the benefits and features of offerings to drive sales and increase awareness among stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with relevant Dicker Data vendors through engagement with vendor technical and sales staff and liaise with internal sales and product Management departments to foster a stronger technical relationship with Presales for seamless collaboration, improved communication, and customer success.
- Actively promote the Dicker Data corporate profile, services, and products to resellers to enhance awareness, loyalty, and business relationships

**What you need to succeed in this role**:

- Minimum of 2-3 years of successful presales experience within the IT industry
- Technical background on brands HPE, Dell, EMC, Lenovo, and APC will be highly regarded.
- Aptitude for providing the highest level of service and responsiveness to customer needs.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills. This includes an ability to communicate and liaise with all levels of customer and supplier contacts.
- Ability to work under pressure and effectively prioritise work in a dynamic sales environment, to meet company and customer expectations.
- Excellent attention to detail
- High level of initiative, enthusiasm, and motivation to achieve business objectives.
- Willingness to learn and ability to work in a team environment.
