Te Whatu Ora Health NZ Waitaha Canterbury is
seeking an Administration Team Leader to join our Ophthalmology Department. As

As the Administration Team Leader, you will be
responsible for leading and managing the administration team to deliver
effective and efficient administration services that enhance patient flow and
meet the ongoing changing needs of the service.
Specifically, you will be responsible for
- Leading and managing the administration team and culture
- Effectively managing team workload and resources
- Embedding a consumer-focus within the team
- Contributing to systems and process enhancements
- Monitoring and reporting on team delivery against key metrics
- Contributing to the operational management of the service
- Managing the purchasing of departmental office supplies
- Participating in project activity to support timely, quality and
cost-effective deliveryNgā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should have the
**following capabilities**:
- Exceptional customer focus
- Experience managing data and a variety of information systems
- High level of diplomacy and interpersonal skills with the ability
to negotiate and influence sensitive issues
- Experience leading successful improvement initiatives
- Health sector experience
- Pervious leadership experience is advantageous but not a necessity.
- A relevant diploma in business or information is advantageous but
