**He angitūtanga: The opportunity**

As a Librarian - Collection and Customer Experience at Takapuna Library, you will lead the stewardship and promotion of the Angela Morton Collection, making these cultural treasures accessible and relevant to a diverse community. You’ll curate exhibitions, organise public talks, and develop engaging programmes, while building strong relationships with artists, donors, and stakeholders. Your role also involves managing public enquiries and actively championing the collection within the library and the wider community.

Alongside collection management, you’ll deliver outstanding frontline customer service, supporting a wide range of community needs across both library and council services. You’ll enhance the library’s digital presence through social media and digital marketing, while helping customers build their digital literacy skills. Collaboration will be key as you work with the Digital Research Collections team on digitisation projects and contribute to the development of the Find NZ Artists database, ensuring these resources continue to grow and thrive.

We are recruiting for a passionate individual to join our team with the following:

- Minimum 3-5 years professional library, art museum, or gallery experience
- Knowledge of and interest in visual arts, New Zealand and international
- Proven collection management and arrangement/description expertise
- Experience with collection management software (preferably Sierra)
- Strong digital skills and commitment to excellent customer service
