**About You**:
You are an experienced Administrator with an eye for detail and adherence to process. You are comfortable with the idea of working in an all-male prison where the men come from all walks of life.

You have well-developed communication skills and the ability to create and nurture effective working relationships with your team and external stakeholders and agencies. You also possess good multi-tasking skills, you are ITC-proficient, and comfortable making recommendations to improve systems and processes as you see them, based on sound logic and reasoned argument.

**About the Role**:
The primary purpose of the Release to Work / Guided Release Case Manager is to create and manage release to work opportunities identify, plan for and carry out specific meaningful reintegration activities which include guided releases.

**Key Functions include**:
The role includes identifying and developing relationships with potential release to work employers, creating and maintaining a range of release to work placements, managing the assessment of prisoners for release to work and guided release, matching prisoners to suitable release to work placements and monitoring release to work placements and guided releases to ensure the safety of the prisoner, other workers and the public.

The following duties are provided as a general guide in relation to the requirements and objectives of this position. This person may also be required to undertake any other activities as required of this position.

Release to Work / Guided Release Case Manager Manage the assessment of eligible prisoners to determine their suitability for release to work and guided release Encourage prisoner motivation through the use of a range of techniques and tools, including motivational interviewing Create and maintain a range of release to work placements that match the employment opportunities at ASCF Work with a range of release to work employers to place prisoners in the most suitable release to work placement Create and maintain effective working relationships with other partners, both internally and externally. Actively monitor release to work placements to ensure the safety of the prisoner, other workers and the public Maintain a record of release to work placements and prisoners employed on the release to work programme Brief the prisoner’s allocated reintegration officer and case manager on the prisoner’s progress on release to work, guided release and any issues relevant to the prisoner Contribute to case conferences to review Prisoner Management Plans

**To be successful in this role you will have**:
Experience either working with or within corrections services preferred
A sound background in administration, customer services and relationship management
Strong computer skills in a range of software packages including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
An understanding of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and te Tiriti o Waitangi, and be committed to providing for better outcomes for Māori
