Our client is a leading supplier of fresh produce to the retail and foodservice sectors. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality and Technical Manager to join their team in a fixed term capacity to cover maternity leave contract, that will be 9-12 months in duration. This is a great opportunity for either someone looking to get this type of experience, someone who is between roles or someone looking for fixed term opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for creation/ implementation/maintenance/supervision of all product testing, specifications, audits, product release, SOP’s.
- Manage and lead activities relating to the preparation, organisation, facilitation, and successful outcome of all regulatory, customer, SQF and other third-party audits and internal standards, together with any other compliance audits (ISO 14001, SWA).
- Holding key technical relationship with all customers
- Ensure that site specific compliance activities such as in safety, environmental and Intelex activities are supported on site and requirements met.
- Develop and maintain quality and food safety metrics and dashboard.
- Drive continuous improvement programs in quality, food safety and regulatory compliance.
- Communicate regularly with key stakeholders on quality, food safety and regulatory compliance issues.
- Ensure all products meet or exceed customer requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in quality and food safety management in a food manufacturing environment.
- SQF Practitioner Certification or equivalent.
- Experience in managing a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as FDA, USDA, HACCP, GMP, and other relevant regulations.
