**Tēnei tūranga - About the Role**:
The Policy Capability Coordinator will coordinate a programme of work that spans right across all of MBIE’s policy teams, to build MBIE’s policy capability. The Coordinator is responsible for coordinating policy capability training, seminars and webinars; coordinating internal quality assurance processes; coordinating meeting agendas with internal stakeholders; acting as a first point of call for queries within the organisation; handling all aspects of project coordination, financials and contract management, and supporting the development of new policy capability initiatives.
MBIE’s Policy Capability programme focuses on building the skills, tools, processes and enablers required to deliver high-quality policy advice consistently to Ministers. The programme includes professional development initiatives, tools to support analysis and develop advice, and processes to measure and manage the quality of advice. The programme is led by a Policy Director responsible for Policy Capability, supported by the Policy Capability Coordinator and a Senior Advisor - Policy Capability.

Excellent relationship and coordination skills are required for this role, as well as proactively managing risks and issues, and a can-do attitude.
The Policy Capability Coordinator role is a permanent, full-time position based in Wellington.

**To be successful in this role you will need**:
- Proven track record in providing administrative and coordination support in a senior executive support or project coordination role
- Ability to use initiative and work independently
- Well organised with excellent planning skills and a strong eye for detail
- The ability to effectively communicate both written and orally
- Comfortable working across multiple system platforms in collaboration with others
- Delivery focussed with a can-do attitude, and the ability to work effectively across multiple projects in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment
- Have a willingness to work in a flexible and dynamic environment, and the ability to adapt quickly depending on the changing nature and priorities of the work programme.
- Able to work with people across all levels of an organisation
- Knowledge and understanding of working within a government agency
- An interest in learning and development
