**About the role**:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at our Auckland Branch during the **afternoon and night time shift.** Reporting to the Auckland Branch Manager, your key objectives will provide structure, support and continuous improvement across all areas of the operation.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage day-to-day transport operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of chilled and frozen goods.
- Oversee a team of supervisors, drivers, dispatchers, and other operational staff, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
- Develop and implement operational process and strategies to optimise routes, minimise costs, and enhance overall efficiencies.
- Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless transportation operations.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Analyse data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the operations team.

**Key Attributes**:

- 2-4 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in transportation or logistics.
- Proven track record of effectively managing people and resources to achieve operational goals.
- Strong understanding of transportation processes and operations, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and transportation management systems (TMS) is preferred.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
