**The opportunity**:
We have an opportunity for full time **Inventory/Despatch Assistant **to join our team based at our Lynfield site. This is a fixed term role to cover for existing staff members currently seconded to other duties. We are looking for a person with experience in warehousing and inventory. As Inventory Assistant you will work closely with suppliers and laboratory staff to ensure smooth and efficient processing of inventory. You will also work in our Despatch area helping with the packing of test materials to be sent out to our Clients.

Key responsibilities include:

- Unpacking pallets and moving stock
- Accurate and timely processing of orders (reagents, chemicals and consumables)
- Providing operational data to support logistics activities
- Stocktakes and record keeping
- Maintain clean and orderly designated storage areas
- Despatch duties ensuring sample materials are stocked and packed for despatch to Clients.

Applicants must be physically fit for this role as it includes repetitive movements and heavy lifting on a daily basis.

The successful applicants will be working 40 hours per week and our laboratory is open 7 days a week so flexibility to work overtime at short notice is ideal.

- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
