**The opportunity**
We are looking for a Business Risk Adviser to join our growing team to support our Auckland-based Members by delivering quality advice, build relationships and ensure suitable covers are in place to protect their business assets and needs.
Our Business Risk Advisers are responsible for providing timely, professional advice to Members throughout the lifecycle of their Business Risk policies as well as supporting new Members general insurance needs.
You will be required to hold a NZ Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5 version 2) in General Insurance and have at least 5 years' experience looking after SME general insurance business as a broker or broker support.

**Key attributes we are looking for**
- Member & relationship focused individual who holds broad knowledge and understanding of local markets and insurance products.
- Previous experience in an insurance sales or service role.
- Preferably with a minimum of 5 -10 years' experience as an SME broker
- Underwriting and risk management skills will be of benefit.
- A good understanding of insurance policy wordings and how these relate to customer risk mitigation
- An ability to build relationships internally and externally is essential
- The ability to manage a large book of small to medium sized SME policies, manage time well and plan and execute accordingly
- Comfortable presenting to policy holders and small groups
