**Āu Mahi | What You Will Do**
**UC's global short course programs combine hands-on learning with the opportunity to discover Ōtautahi Christchurch and Waitaha Canterbury. These programs provide international students from UC's partner universities a taste of life in our city, helping them get a feel for the community before they decide to pursue full-time studies at UC.
The UC Study Abroad and Exchange program enables students to engage in academic opportunities with UC's global partner universities. In this role, you will collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to support the creation and delivery of dynamic and meaningful experiential programs for international prospects and UC students, aiding them in their development as global citizens.
The Global Engagement Coordinator is responsible for planning and delivering UC Global Engagement activities, with a particular focus on Short Term Inbound programming. This role ensures the successful delivery of all aspects of short course programme operations.
**Mōu | Who You Are**
- The ability to speak another language other than English is desirable, specifically Mandarin Chinese.
- Proven ability to solve problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Knowledge of budgeting, negotiating, contracting, and experience of navigating finance procedures, along with experience working in a large organisation, is advantageous.
- Experience in leading teams of volunteers, particularly students from diverse backgrounds, is advantageous.
- National Certificate (NZQA Level 4) Exceptional organizational and project coordination skills: Demonstrated ability to manage competing demands, coordinate events and projects, and implement process improvements and best practices.
- Proven track record in process improvement: Skilled in identifying and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across various initiatives.
- Working with international tertiary students, networks and agencies. Be able to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
- Ability to competently use all modern office technology particularly across the MS Office suite
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
