Gogo Music Cafe restaurant was established in 2016 and since then has attained a reputation for quality Chinese cuisine in North Shore, Auckland. We serve a wide range of traditional Chinese dishes and pastries, especially Chinese BBQ. To meet the increasing kitchen demand, we are looking for two cooks (Chinese Cuisine)
**Job Description**:
Prepare, cook, and season food up to the standard
Ensure the food quality and presentation are of the highest level
Ensure food handling and kitchen cleanliness and maintenance of the restaurant equipment and amenities
Store and save food as per standard procedures
Carry out regular stock checks of food supplies
Participate in menu planning
Liaison with the manager and other staff to ensure food quality and service is to the appropriate standards
Train staff on correct cooking procedures and techniques for various food types
Ensure familiar with correct food storage techniques and health regulations
Produce food to meet the customers special dietary requirements
Deal with any customer complaints to ensure customer satisfaction
**To qualifiy the position, you need to**:
- Be physically fit and have good character
- Able to work at night
- be a fast learner
- Quality workmanship and eye for detail
- Strong dedication to health and workplace safety
