We are looking for experienced Cooks who specialise in Chinese Cuisines to join our busy teams in Christchurch, with the ability to multi-task and a willingness to work in stressful and busy environments (especially during rush hours, and/or, on weekends and/or, night-times).

Key attributes:

- Experienced in Chinese Cuisine
- Able to prepare and create a range of specialized Asian-cuisine dishes
- Multi-Tasker, fast turnaround of meals, can handle different styles of Wok equipment
- Menu-planning, Food-Prepping, Cutting, Cooking, Kitchen-Cleaning etc
- Ingredient and inventory-stocktaking, stock-procurement and ordering food supplies
- Proactively share-knowledge and train other members of Kitchen-staff
- Customer-centric attitude to food creation and preparation
- Ideally with knowledge of general Food Health & Safety and Hygiene etc
- Professionalism/ take pride in their job and take tasks seriously
- Able to solve problems and improvise in new environments/stressful situations
- Sense of self-responsibility in tasks with swiftness and efficiency
- Willingness to work on weekends, or late-nights, able to work and cope in busy working environment
- Ideally multi-lingual in Chinese / Cantonese language (an advantage but not compulsory)
- Relevant qualification in cookery (an advantage but not compulsory)

To be considered for this position, you must have:

- At least three years of work experience as a Cook in relevant equivalent Chinese cuisine restaurant
- Ability to work under pressure and be flexible

This is a full-time position (with guaranteed hours of at least 30 hours per week).
