Our Strategy & Investment team plays a vital role in enabling Pae Ora, healthy futures for all New Zealanders, through data and digital strategies that drive health system transformation. We build strong partnerships to shape and focus investment and change to optimise value for people, whanau, clinicians and the wider health system.
Our focus is on building strong partnerships with our customers, wider sector and government stakeholders and with industry. We provide strategic leadership, maximise value from our investment and commercial portfolios, and enable our vision with delivery roadmaps, architectural guidance and supporting frameworks.
**Mōu | About you**
As our Group Manager Value Realisation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our investment cases have identified value that makes them worthwhile, and, once approved, that the investment portfolio achieves the benefits that investment cases identified. You will create a framework to evaluate investments through a 'value lens' and then ensure the realisation of these benefits once investments are approved. We're dedicated to spotting opportunities that release value and enable financial savings, so part of your role will involve proactively identifying initiatives that can save funds for future investments. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership team to ensures savings are identified, approved, and delivery aligned with our overall plans and then monitor the release of value and achievement of savings by the responsible delivery team.
Additionally, you will identify high value initiatives and work closely with the business owners to ensure that value is fully articulated in investment cases and included in procurement and/or commercial engagements.jor i You will act as an expert consultant, leading through influence and partnering to establish and execute frameworks and the 'save to invest' portfolio. Over time, you might build a team to optimise framework use, monitoring, and value/savings achievement. You will also provide hands-on analysis, financial support, and creating content to support investment case development as needed.

**Tō mātou whakahaere ki te tika, te rerekētanga, me te whai wāhi mai |Our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion**
Our name, Te Whatu Ora, means ‘the weaving of wellness'. Whatu is the combining together of people, resources, organisations, thoughts and actions for the betterment and wellbeing of all. Whatu is also a direct reference to the pupil of the eye, and the vision required of the new entity and system.
At Te Whatu Ora we acknowledge and respect our people's diversity and spiritual needs, ensuring a safe workplace that is a whānau orientated and supportive environment. We are working towards a system that better meets the complex demands of a growing population, addresses the persistent inequalities experienced by Māori and ensures greater access, experience and outcomes for those traditionally not well served by the system - Māori, Pacific and Disabled People.
