About the Role
The Deputy Chief Executive (DCE) Corporate Services is responsible for a range of enabling functions to support groups across Whaikaha to thrive.

About You
As a senior member of the Whaikaha leadership team, the DCE Corporate has a shared responsibility and focus to develop and drive the Ministry's strategy, to ensure that the different parts of the Ministry work effectively together, comply with all relevant legislation and regulations, and to contribute to the Ministry's achievement of high levels of overall performance. They will need to work closely with the Chief Executive and in partnership with disabled people, Tāngata Whaikaha Māori, and their families to work to transform the disability system both across the Ministry as a whole and within the Corporate Services group.
To undertake this role successfully the Deputy Chief Executive-Corporate Services will be a disabled person, have lived experience of disability through whānau or be able to establish credibility and trust with the disability community, as well as having empathy and an understanding of the unique and diverse experiences of disabled people.
