Ko tōu ake mahi - What You'll Do
As a Senior Advisor, Compliance, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on compliance and enforcement activities across the regulatory functions of the Vaping Regulatory Authority (VRA) and the Tobacco Regulatory Authority (TRA). Your role will be instrumental in supporting decision-making processes related to licensing and approvals under the Smokefree Environments and Regulated Products Act. You will contribute to the investigation of regulatory non-compliance and complaints.
Collaborating closely with Enforcement Officers, you will assist in the preparation and implementation of appropriate enforcement actions. You will serve as a point of contact for stakeholders, responding to their inquiries and providing guidance on compliance with regulatory requirements, policies, and relevant information.
Your expertise will be valuable in providing technical input during reviews of compliance, complaint investigations, and policy development processes. You will also offer technical advice on compliance and advertising matters to other government agencies and the wider Ministry of Health. As part of the team, you will actively contribute through input, feedback, and peer review, ensuring the consistent and timely progress of our work. Building effective relationships with key stakeholders and fostering collaborative and positive relationships with your team members and other Ministry staff will be essential to achieving our objectives.

- Proven organisational skills with the ability to think ahead, use initiative, establish priorities and meet deadlines whilst preserving high levels of accuracy

- Experience, or interest, in working in a regulatory and/or audit environment
