We’re seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join one of our API/Integration Squads to build Microservices and APIs on a brand-new Cloud Integration Platform. Join us to work on modern tech stacks such as.NET 8+, Microservice, GraphQL, Kafka, Docker and Kubernetes. Be part of Kiwibank as it takes banking for New Zealanders on an evolutionary journey.
- In this role you will:_
- Work in an agile team to build and deliver robust, high-quality software.
- Provide your expertise to the Development teams, the Product Owner, Security, and Architecture and have a say in the design and direction of the products that you work on.
- Review teams codebases and maintain high standards for security, testability, etc.
- Establish good engineering practices and embedding them in the team.

- Key skills and experience we’re looking for:_
- At least 5+ years’ experience with C#, ASP.NET, and.NET Core.
- Demonstrable experience with REST APIs with contract first approach and standards like OpenAPI/Swagger.
- Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure with CI/CD practices.
- Experience with unit and component/integration testing as part of day-to-day development, ideally utilizing TDD techniques.
- Experience with database in SQL Server and PostgreSQL
- Ability to help and motivate other engineers in an Agile environment.
- Bonus (not essential but advantageous to have):_
- Experience with GraphQL API.
- Experience with event driven architectures with platforms like Apache Kafka.
- Experience in building secure systems I.e. Authentication and Authorisation and OWASP testing tools.
- Ability to lead or facilitate discussions around system design and practices.
