**About the Role**
We're looking for a skilled and motivated HR Business Partner to join our team on a fixed-term contract, where you will play a key role in delivering high-quality P&C support across the business.Reporting to the Director of HR Operations, you will provide end-to-end HR advice and services, supporting everything from day-to-day operational matters to the delivery of strategic initiatives. This is a great opportunity to take ownership and work closely with senior leaders, helping shape people practices that align with business goals and support our districts. **About you**
You are a people-focused HR professional who enjoys building strong relationships, working collaboratively, and finding practical solutions that make a real difference. With a solid foundation in generalist HR, you are confident navigating a busy workload and contributing to meaningful outcomes. You enjoy variety in your day, you're comfortable working with change, and you're always keen to learn and grow.
Here's what you'll bring to the role:
- A sound knowledge of New Zealand employment and Health and Safety legislation
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels
- Excellent problem-solving skills and sound judgement - you're confident making decisions, staying organised, meeting deadlines, and using initiative in a changing environment
- A natural curiosity and willingness to learn about the organisation, the people who use New Zealand's health services, and the communities we serve
- Confidence using the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- A strong team player mindset, along with the ability to work independently when needed
- Leadership and management - the ability to think and act strategically, inspire others, and build engaged, high-performing teams through inclusive leadership
