Our client, a leading organisation in the field of research, science and technology, is seeking a talented and driven People and Culture Business Partner to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional with a passion for people and culture to work with a dynamic and innovative team, contributing to the development and implementation of HR strategies that align with the business objectives.

As a People and Culture Business Partner, you will bring your people skills to the forefront. You will be an excellent communicator, with the ability to demonstrate empathy and creativity to quickly establish rapport and build lasting relationships with a confidence and capability to operate at all levels across the organisation.

**Responsibilities**:
Partner with leaders to understand business needs and develop strategies to drive employee engagement and retention

Coach managers on performance management, employee relations, and career development

Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with NZ employment laws and regulations

Analyze HR metrics and provide insights and recommendations to enhance HR effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.

Facilitate training sessions and workshops to promote a culture of learning and development

Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to create an inclusive workplace for all employees

Be visible and become the first point of call for your team and people

**Qualifications & Skills**:
Bachelor's degree in HR, business management or a related field.

At least 5 years of HR experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand business strategy and translate it into HR initiatives that drive results.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Solid understanding of employment law and HR best practices in NZ.

Proven track record of leading projects and initiatives that have delivered tangible results.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage competing deadlines.
