Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
Joining our Data & Digital team, you will be a member of our National Digital Services (NDS) Product leadership team who share the collective accountability for maintaining and enhancing technology services while implementing and supporting Te Whatu Ora priorities.
As a practice leader and people manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the practices are well understood, easily accessible, and delivering value. You will be the leader of the team, ensuring common ways of working and connection to business owners. You will be responsible for ensuring strong alignment of the product operating model to investment portfolio, financial and reporting disciplines, and clear cycles of planning and review for each sprint or release, as well as on a quarterly and annual basis.
The product team works between the business and technology teams to establish, evolve and drive value from the products supported by NDS, and utilises the capabilities within NDS to form the multi-disciplinary product teams that deliver products.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**:
- A relevant graduate and/or post-graduate qualification
- Seasoned experience in a similar role in a large complex organisation
- Experience in an ICT leadership role with a background in ICT management including working with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and encourage teams in an environment of change, financial prudence and an increasing level of digital maturity across the organisation
- Proven relationship building skills and well-developed communication skills.
- Proven ability in managing suppliers and vendors.
- Strong financial management of operational budgets
- Demonstrated intuition and the ability to balance good process with the need to make clear decisions in demanding situations such as. priority service outages.
- Demonstrated ability to work under tight timeframes and manage competing priorities while remaining resilient under pressure.
Previous work experience working in the health sector or other Government body would be desirable for success in this role.
