About the role
Our Digital Enablement team in Auckland is looking to add a Product Practice Manager to help lead and grow our team of Product Managers and Product Owners. You will have many years of experience in delivering in the digital product space from inception to launch. You will support the creation and promotion of our Productised Service offerings to maximise their potential with our customers. You will be contributing to initiatives that will expand our reach into new markets and countries, while leveraging Datacom's expansive technical expertise and resources. **What you’ll be responsible for**:

- Building the Product practice by hiring capable Product Owners and Product Managers but still achieving good utilisation targets.
- Improve our Product centric delivery model, frameworks processes and capability.
- Defining, productising new offerings for Product companies and our customers that want to deliver in a Product centric way.
- Drive and share our product strategies with other practices to build best in class digital products for our customers.
- Support and facilitate Discovery engagements in Auckland and other regions in New Zealand
- Perform a Product Manager or Product Owner role as required by our customers as a billable resource when required.
- Assisting our sales team with Product expertise in pre-sales, presenting Product capabilities to our customers.
- Partner with the executive teams to identify key capabilities needed as well as identifying potential issues.
- Be the voice and expert of Product centric delivery within the Digital Engineering group, providing governance to the practice.
- Focus and drive to achieve the yearly targets set for the Digital Enablement team.

**What you’ll be bringing to the team**:

- 5+ years of product management experience with broad exposure to computer technologies, project management, business analysis and lean development methodologies.
- Good people management skills.
- Strong professional marketing knowledge and skills, with strong influencing and persuasive ability.
- Knowledge of finance management practices, with a clear understanding of the relationship between costs, utilisation, and project revenue.
- Effective presentation skills with the ability to convey technical information across various levels.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
- Experience leading software teams to develop cohesive product designs, roadmaps, technical architecture, and estimates.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Experience in building and expanding services supplied to customers.

**Even better if you have, but not necessary**:

- Business Analysis experience.
- Experience in Figma.
- Experience in Design or Marketing.
