**About the team and role**

We’re hiring a Snr Product Manager to lead and co-ordinate cohesive Insights experiences across Xero’s many products & workflow experiences. This person must have experience working across product portfolios with a strong passion for customer outcomes that are instinctive, valuable and transcend natural product experience boundaries. Xero is on a mission to reinvent financial and business intelligence through AI & its representation as Insights & actions, to help millions of businesses globally.

We’re currently building and developing specific insights experiences working with our new colleagues from Syft, working through the best ways to surface relevant insights and actions in the right place at the right time. Investing in AI/ML throughout our products, leveraging Syft capabilities and bringing them to life within the Xero experience for all small businesses and accountants and bookkeepers. We’re looking for an established Snr Product Manager with experience in product, a customer obsession, ideally with a good grasp of accounting, and a hustle “move fast” mindset. Come join us as we push the boundaries of technology and reinvent financial intelligence.

This role is a hybrid role and can be based either from our Wellington (preferred) or Auckland offices.

**What you'll do**:
- Confidently execute core product management role responsibilities including identifying customer problems and definitions solutions to test, developing and managing product roadmaps or strategies, and developing product release strategies
- Consistently review, monitor and interrogate the commercial & customer results of products, areas and teams to inform product strategy and practice
- Lead and manage a product or group of products across the end-to-end lifecycle (e.g. launch through to sunset) to ensure maintenance and support throughout the life of the product
- Working directly with 10-20 engineers and is responsible for signing off on an overall technical direction and architecture from the product perspective (ie, that tradeoffs are aligned with product direction).

**What you'll bring with you**:
- Experience working as a Senior Product Manager or equivalent looking to branch out to a different problem space
- Experience developing a 0-1 product (working on a brand new product)
- Experience in working in ambiguous environments
- Experience working with many stakeholders at different levels within different teams
- Extensive experience in enabling new and improved approaches to product practice
- Ideally experience working with AI products or a passion for AI
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with diverse and senior stakeholder groups to realise customer / commercial outcomes
- Strong track record of addressing customer needs through innovative use of technology
- Effectively influenced outcomes at all levels in a variety of contexts
- Extensive experience in product practice thought leadership, defining product roadmaps and longterm planning at a Portfolio / Sub-portfolio(s) level
- Extensive experience in leading cross portfolio initiatives to deliver customer / business outcomes
- Extensive experience in mentoring, supporting and coaching
