Our National Account Manager is responsible for growing the Targus national business profitably through the development of new and existing business, whilst developing strong business relationships with Targus’s reseller, partners and end-users in order to successfully present and sell Targus product offerings & solutions that offer seamless digital experience for their customers and organisations.
Pipeline management from identifying stages through to closing of opportunities are a key focus to ensure target achievement.
**Responsibilities**
- Develop a monthly call cycle and build relationships with all key contacts in each account and leverage these relationships to maximise revenue opportunities for Targus.
- Pro-active account management, working with the customer to achieve their revenue/growth goals and Targus’s.
- Develop marketing opportunities and utilise co-op funding
- Joint visits with key resellers to support business development and add value to close opportunities.
- Development of new business opportunities via direct engagement with assigned end-users, and or verticals to achieve Targus’s revenue/growth goals.
- Construction, implementation, and review of business and account plans.
- Develop core range of products by reseller in consultation with the customer
- Provide Targus product and solution training to distribution and channel partners and monitor education levels to maximise support for Targus sales.
- Become a trusted category leader with Targus’ partners to drive growth in Net Margin $ for Targus.
- To deliver predictable profitable growth for Targus and Targus partnerships through detailed account planning and measured execution.
- Ensure that Targus’ is rated #1 relationship in consistent supply chain delivery of high value and quality leading category growth products and strategies
- Maintain and improve all distribution and channel partner relationships.
**Develop Vendor Relationships**
- Proactively encourage relationships between Targus and all Tier 1 PC vendors that our distribution partners represent ensuring at all time that Targus is the conduit for these relationships.
**Qualifications / **Attributes**:
- Ability to communicate across business functions
- Ability to travel regularly outside Auckland and occasionally internationally
- Mature level of “fearlessness” to try new ideas.
- High level of ownership to deliver and execute plan.
- Highly professional with strong commercial business acumen
- Drive for continual improvement
- High levels of integrity, honesty and emotional intelligence
**Education**:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business or equivalent. (advantageous)
**Experience (Industry, role type, management)**:
- Call cycle management
- Previous experience in a similar role with proven success
- Experience within the IT industry would be highly regarded
