- This is a unique, greenfield role, which will allow you to intersect your 2 passions of technology and underwriting commercial lines of business.
- Engage with new ways of working (agile) alongside our technology and other teams, so that we move faster and are accountable for continuous delivery. Whilst the preference is for the role to be Auckland based, for the right person, we would consider other locations.

**Your new role**

Reporting to the General Manager of Product & Underwriting, you will be part of a tenured and highly experienced team of National Product Managers and Product Specialists. Key aspects of your role include:

- Working closely with your peers and stakeholders of the business, to streamline our underwriting rules, & determine efficiency gains, leading to a simpler and streamlined process for our Underwriters and broker partners
- Communicate the Product plans and ensure all Underwriters are aware of risk appetite and understand the Underwriting Rules.
- Monitoring portfolio results and individual product performance, identifying trends and opportunities, and taking corrective action as necessary. High level of portfolio oversight and attention to lead indicators
- Ensuring adequate pricing, underwriting standards and appropriate risk acceptance including ownership of all pricing models relating to the relevant product

**About you**
- An experienced Underwriter or Product Manager with experience in portfolio management in commercial insurance
- Strategic thinker with ability to use initiative to create new & better ways of working.
- Excellent at building relationships and influencing at a senior level within the insurance industry.
- Interest in technology and ways in which it can improve our customer experience and processes for the business.
